BONDED PAIR: PEBBLES & BAMBAM Pebbles and BamBam are still awaiting their dental procedure. They're settling into their foster home and working on their potty training-there are lots of new rooms and interesting places to sniff, so it can be a little confusing at first. Pebbles recently developed a cough, which was evaluated by the vet. The preliminary diagnosis is a collapsing trachea with a possible mild infection-both fairly common in Yorkies. She has started medication to help with the cough and inflammation. She also has a level 3 (moderate) heart murmur. To make sure her heart wasn't under strain, the vet ran a special blood test that measures whether the heart muscle is being stretched or overworked. The result came back normal, which means that although she has a murmur, her heart is not currently experiencing active stress. We're monitoring and treating her, and we expect her to recover well from this cough. Foster mom has also learned that Pebbles and BamBam aren't big fans of thunder and lightning-but they respond beautifully to snuggles, close contact, and reassurance. They're continuing to rest, shed a little extra weight, and grow more confident every week. BONDED PAIR Pebbles and BamBam am Bam and Pebbles have arrived in their foster home and are settling in beautifully. It didn't take them long to discover that the couch is the coziest place in the house-and they happily volunteer themselves as professional snuggle buddies. These two have very sweet, gentle personalities. They adore being close to their humans and follow their foster mom everywhere she goes, just to make sure she doesn't forget they're available for affection at all times. They often show their bellies as a sweet way of asking for more pets, which works every single time. They enjoy slow-paced, small walks throughout the day, taking in the world at their own relaxed pace. They absolutely love children, and their soft, easygoing nature makes them wonderful companions. They would do best in a home without other pets, or possibly with very calm, elderly, smaller pets who won't overwhelm them. They also aren't huge fans of loud noises, so a calmer home would help them feel most secure. On the practical side, they're both working on their potty training-Bam Bam proudly wears his belly band as he learns the ropes-and they're making progress every day. Their initial exam showed that Pebbles appears to have a mild heart murmur, which will be evaluated further. Both pups are also waiting for some dental care soon so their smiles can be as fresh and nice as their cuddles. For now, Bam Bam and Pebbles are simply enjoying the comfort of a safe home, warm laps, and gentle routines while they wait for a forever family who will cherish their sweet spirits.
