About Buddy

We are looking to rehome my step son's dog, Buddy. He was found in the mountains of New Mexico where he worked as a cattle dog. He ran off from his owners while they were out running cattle, Buddy had been in the woods alone for about a week when Michael found him. He got in contact with the owners and they said that he could keep him, so he got him neutered, microchipped, and vaxxed. He was able to run free and roam while they lived there but now that they moved back to NC he doesn't have the ability to roam free. We are unable to give him the space and energy that he needs, especially since he is still a puppy (about 9 months.) He is a very independent pup, a hard worker, and a very quick learner. He knows basic commands and knows how to recall (when he wants to.) He would live his best life on a farm or somewhere with a large piece of land for him to explore. We just don't have that option here he needs to be able to run and get some energy out and not be inside all day everyday and only go for short walks and to potty. He has high energy and needs you to be Stearn but loving we want to see him go to a good home that has the space and capacity to offer what he needs. If we can't find him a new home by end of the month he will he going to a shelter that only keeps them a certain amount of time before they put them down. We don't want that for Buddy. He has the potential to be a good dog we just don't have thr capability to offer him what he needs I am on disability and can't physically handle him I rely alot of my step son but he works full time and we just can't give Buddy the life he deserves.
