About Star

Star lives up to her name - bright, athletic, and ready to shine in her forever home! This loyal, intelligent girl loves exploring, going for walks, and joining her people on daily adventures. She has been in a board-and-train program polishing her manners and leash skills, and she's learning quickly. Star especially enjoys running, bike rides, and getting out to see the world. Star can coexist around other dogs in public and has been doing well walking by dogs, horses, donkeys, pigs, and even a cat. However, she's an independent girl who prefers her space and would do best as the only dog at home, especially with an adopter who has large-dog experience. She may bark at smaller dogs and gets tense with puppy-like, in-her-face energy, but she settles when left alone. She rides calmly in the car (though she may need a little help getting in) and hasn't lived with kids, but she's been polite and friendly with people of all ages out in public.
