Rehoming Profile: Handsome 11-Year-Old Male Chocolate Labrador Retriever Name: Scout Age: 11 years old (senior, but still active and healthy) Breed: English Chocolate Labrador Retriever Sex: Male (neutered) Weight: Approx. 75-80 lbs (solid but not overweight) Color: chocolate brown Personality & Temperament This sweet boy is the definition of a gentle, low-key companion. He is calm, affectionate, and happiest when he's near his people. He loves sunbathing in the yard, or quietly following you from room to room just to keep you company. He's past the wild puppy stage and is perfectly content with a relaxed lifestyle. Strangers are greeted with a slow tail wag and a polite sniff - he's never met someone he didn't eventually like. Activity Level Low to moderate. He enjoys short, leisurely 'sniffari' walks around the neighborhood (15-30 minutes is plenty) and will happily potter around the yard. He still has a spring in his step for things that matter (like dinner time), but he's not looking for jogs, hikes, or high-energy play. A couple of easy walks a day and he's a very happy retiree. Our lifestyle has changed and now requires frequent travel, which is simply unfair to put him through at this stage of life. He deserves a stable, stay-at-home or work-from-home family where routines are predictable and suitcases rarely appear. This is not a behavioral issue in the home - only triggered by car rides and perceived abandonment/travel.
