About Lulu

Lulu is a sweet, 9lbs, 1 year old terrier mix (we think she might be a yorkie/cairn terrier/chihuahua mix, but we aren't totally sure). She joined us from our partners over on Kauai after her family could no longer care for her. She's now looking for a home in Orange County! This girl is SO loving! Her favorite things include cuddling, sitting in people's laps, snuggling next to her people or her dog friends, running around, playing, and treats! She's rambunctious and fun with plenty of energy to spare! Lulu doesn't make the best first impression with people or other dogs because she's not very confident. But, if you don't let her first impression deter you and you give her a few days to settle in, she's such an awesome little gal! She's scared of and barky with new dogs at first, but with slow introductions, she does really enjoy their company. She tends to do best with smaller dogs that are more so on the chill side. She can be resource guardy when it comes to toys and her favorite people, so a dog that doesn't get offended easily when she gets 'spicy' would be ideal. She's scared of cats but wont react aggressively if they approach her. She's very friendly with people once she feels comfortable. She also is great in the car and will sit nicely in your lap while you drive to your destination! Lulu would do best in a home that can work with her on basic training. She is potty trained in her foster home, but she will likely need a refresher once she's in a new environment. She'd very much enjoy a home with people who are around most of the time or who want to take her with them wherever they go because she is super Velcro!
