About Chessie

Meet Chessie (short for Chestnut), a 4 year old brindle beauty with a heart as warm as her name. She has settled beautifully into her foster home and is now ready for the one thing she wants most, a forever family. Chessie's story started with heartbreak. She was seen being dumped from a car and waited, hoping her people would come back. They never did. She found her way to the shelter, and from the moment we met her, we knew she deserved a second chance filled with love and stability. Now this girl is ready to shine. Chessie is affectionate, playful, and happiest when she is leaning into you for snuggles. She has big energy, a bigger heart, and a gorgeous brindle coat that turns heads everywhere she goes. A few things to know: -Kids 10+ -Loves daily walks -Crate trained/housebroken -No cats -No chew toys (she loves to eat them) -Slow introductions with other dogs, her enthusiasm is real -Does best with structure and consistency Chessie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and 100 percent ready to start her next chapter.
