About Eleanor/Ellie

Ellie is very high energy. Came from an abusive home. She's done fairly well with my small kids and with proper training she will be a great family dog. Has never been socialized with other pets so she's reactive to them. Again I believe with proper training she will be fine. Needs a home where she will be exercised a lot. When her energy is high she chews EVERYTHING. She has started mouthing a lot and will grab your shoes while walking or your bite at your hands when she wants affection or if you have the leash she will do it also. She's leash trained and crate trained and house broken. She will come with everything she needs. She has never had dog food until she came to my home and as of yet she will only eat wet food and some treats. I think with proper training and exercise she will be an incredible dog. She's not aggressive just bored and she loves being the center of attention. I think a no small kids house will be better because she will knock my two year old down if I'm giving her affection instead of Ellie. Her name is the one we have been calling her for the last week so could be changed if you really wanted. She likes constant loves and loves to play. She has lots of toys, leash, collar, harness, food bowls, nail clippers, dog beds, all the things you need and more. Her birthday is July 27, 2023 and she has not had shots this year. She is spayed. I'm happy to go further into detail if contacted. I'm looking for a family with older kids or a couple/single person that's very active and willing to run her around preferably with a big yard. She also only knows Chinese commands but I've been working on training daily and she's learning. She is defiant and will tend to listen when it benefits her and not when you want. The pros about her are plentiful, she's sweet, affectionate, doesn't lick, barely barks, does great in the car, does great on a leash or a lead in the yard, doesn't get into the kitchen trash, hasn't gotten on my counters, crate trained, very very loving. Her previous owners were back handing her a lot in the face and even with that she's not aggressive and doesn't get aggressive over food.
