Meet Sophie - The Executive Sweetheart If you stop by the Associated Executive Director's office, don't be surprised if you're greeted by a pair of soulful eyes and a wagging tail - that's Sophie, our resident office charm! This lovely senior lady has made herself quite at home, winning hearts (and stealing snacks) with her gentle presence and quiet charisma. Sophie is the definition of a classy couch potato. She's happiest lounging nearby, soaking up affection, and reminding everyone that relaxation is an art form. She enjoys short, leisurely walks and is wonderful on the leash - no tugging, just strolling side by side like old friends. She's also a dream in the car, making her the perfect passenger for peaceful rides and coffee runs. This girl has excellent manners, too. Sophie appears to be housetrained and has clearly mastered the art of indoor living. She's good meeting new people and has been around kids, always polite and composed. She enjoys toys and a good snuggle session, but prefers calm canine companions - she's fine with some dogs, though small dogs aren't really her cup of tea. Health-wise, Sophie does have some special notes. She has dental disease that may need attention, and while in our care she had a tumor removed from her inner left hind leg. The biopsy showed an incompletely excised sarcoma, which means there's a chance it could return one day. She's looking for an adopter willing to keep an eye on her health and give her the care she deserves. In return, Sophie promises unwavering companionship, quiet joy, and the kind of love that only a wise, seasoned dog can give. If your home has a cozy couch, a gentle heart, and room for one very special senior, Sophie is ready to charm her way into your life - just as she's done with ours.
