DAISY is a 1.5 old, 12 pound Min Pin Dachshund mix surrendered because her owner is unable to give her the time and attention she needs. She is a sweet, energetic little dog who bonds deeply, loves to play, and will thrive in a home with a fenced yard and a small, active dog friend. DAISY can be a bit leery when meeting new people, but once she decides you're 'her person,' she is all in. She's become very loving, cuddly, and even gives kisses now. She's thrilled when her person comes home, even if you only went to get the mail! She's not a big kisser, but she absolutely loves being near you. She can be protective at the door and may bark or posture when someone new enters, but she adjusts once she feels safe. With other dogs, DAISY does wonderfully. She settled right in with the resident pups and quickly became playful and social. She loves zoomies in the yard and wrestles and plays chase with dogs her size. Because she's so fast and full of energy, she really needs a playful companion dog and a securely fenced yard. She has not been around cats in her current foster home and we don't think she would be happy and home with children. DAISY is fully potty trained and has not had an accident in the house. She doesn't understand a dog door yet, but she goes out easily when let outside regularly. She's good on a leash and enjoys walks. She does not need to be picked up, she's a long-legged athlete who easily jumps on and off furniture. At night, DAISY sleeps in the big bed with her person, either cuddled up close or tucked happily under the covers. DAISY is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a 12 month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
