Name: BENTLY Breed: Beagle Age: 3 years old old (49#) Sex: Male (neutered - not confirmed) Location: Yuba County, CA Vet Info: UTD on vaccinations (not confirmed), no HW test. 'When he was about 2 1/2 his eyes swelled shut. I thought it was an allergic reaction and took him to the vet. The gave him a shot and steroids. When his eyes opened back up one had the blue haze over it an we could tell he couldn't see out of it. When his eyes started swelling again an I brought him it. They said the pressure in his eye was extremely high and I had to start giving him eye drops 2x a day or the retina would detach. I was doing the drops for over a year and one day he started running into everything an I realized he was completely blind and they didn't work. I couldn't afford a specialist.' Owner reports: Bently's owners are no longer together and the man he is living with does not like him and has no sympathy for his condition, according to Bently's mom. A new home is needed. Bently is an indoor dog with the run of the house. He is reported to be house broken and leash trained. Bently is reported to be be outgoing, good with adults, children of all ages, other dogs and cats. 'Even after losing his eyesight he's still the sweetest happiest dog'|He is the perfect family dog. I use to have a daycare he would have babies climbing all over him and wouldn't flinch. He's been around cats and dogs, never had an issue. He's so smart. He so easy to love.'
