About Beya

Might our little warrior girl, Beya! Beya was attacked by another dog and sustained a bad injury to her eye. She was rushed to the vet to attend to her injury and the moment she arrived, she went into labor and had 6 little puppies. As if that wasn't enough, the vet determined her eye was so badly damaged it needed to be removed. Beya has been a good Mom to her babies even as she was recovering from her eye surgery. Her babies have been weaned and now Beya is ready to find her forever family with whom she will be safe and loved. Beya is sweet as can be and good with other dogs. She is housebroken too. Beya is about 5 years old and 18 pounds. Please help our sweet Beya find the loving home she deserves. Update: Beya had tested positive for Anaplasmosis, another common tick borne disease similar to Lyme's. She has since completed her antibiotic treatment and is doing great. Beya is ready to go home for the holidays! ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
