URGENT - FROYO WILL BE EUTHANIZED IF NOT OUT OF THE SHELTER BY SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 29TH AT 4 PM. A285169 Froyo is a 9-month-old, 35-pound neutered shepherd mix who never had the chance to learn what love or safety feels like. He came from a community where he was born and lived completely outside with almost no human interaction. When he arrived at the shelter, he was too fearful to be leashed or touched and would hide at the back of his kennel, trembling and barking out of fear. In the six weeks he has been at the shelter, Froyo has not improved. He remains extremely fearful of people and spends nearly all his time tucked into the corner of his kennel, trying to disappear. He is social with other dogs and will take treats outside in the yard. He wants to feel safe; he wants to try. He shows interest in people from a distance, but the fear is still too overwhelming for him to approach. Froyo came in with eight other fearful dogs who have all blossomed in homes. Every single one of them transformed once they were out of the shelter. Froyo deserves that same chance. He is just a puppy, and he has the potential to be a wonderful, loyal companion if someone patient is willing to help him feel safe. Froyo also came to the shelter with an untreated broken elbow from months ago, leaving him with a shortened front leg. He will need joint supplements and pain management as he grows, but he still tries his best to get around and simply needs someone who will care for him the way he has never been cared for before. Froyo needs a home out of the shelter immediately. He needs a patient, understanding adopter or foster who can show him gently that the world is not something to fear. A home with a confident, friendly dog would greatly help him learn and come out of his shell. If Froyo is not fostered, adopted, or rescued by Saturday, November 29th at 4 PM, his short life will come to an end without ever knowing love. Please do not let that happen. Froyo is available for foster, adoption, or rescue. To help him, please contact [email protected] or call 520-509-3555, or visit PCACC at 1150 S. Eleven Mile Corner Rd, Casa Grande, AZ. Shelter hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Froyo has never had a real chance. You can be the one who finally gives him one.
