About Gumbeaux

Surrender Message for Gumbeaux It breaks our hearts to say this, but we are looking for a new home for our dog, Gumbeaux. He is a beautiful Husky/Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix with the sweetest heart and the biggest personality. Gumbeaux has amazing energy, a goofy and clumsy charm, and truly wants to be everyone's best friend. Unfortunately, his play style has become too rough for our young children (ages 3-5) and our small dog who weighs under 10 pounds. He never means harm, but his size and enthusiasm can be overwhelming for them. We've tried training, consistency, and patience, but we've had to accept that our home environment isn't the best match for what he needs. Gumbeaux deserves a home where he can run, play, and live his best high-energy life. He would thrive with an active family or individual who can give him the exercise, structure, and attention he truly loves. On top of this, my husband has upcoming surgeries and has recently undergone two medical procedures that prevent him from giving Gumbeaux the long, energy-burning walks and playtime he deserves. It's not fair to Gumbeaux to ask him to adapt to less when his heart and body need more. This decision has been extremely difficult for us, and we are asking for help from someone who can give Gumbeaux the loving, active home he deserves. He is loyal, affectionate, and full of joy - he just needs the right environment to thrive. Thank you for understanding and for considering helping this sweet boy.
