About Malibu and Athena

It breaks my heart to write this, but my two girls, Malibu and Athena, need a new home - ideally temporary, but possibly permanent if the right situation comes along. They must stay together. They're deeply bonded and rely on each other for comfort, confidence, and companionship. ��%BD��%BD��%BDs Malibu 6 (in green): Malibu is a sweet, loyal girl with a calm, gentle presence. She has hip dysplasia due to an injury from rough play when she was younger, so she'll need a home that can help her manage that condition with joint care, gentle exercise, and vet guidance. Despite this, she's bright-eyed, affectionate, and full of love. She just wants to be close to her people and feel safe. ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD Athena 3 (in yellow): Athena is a tender, sensitive pup who has been through a lot. She experienced abuse in the past before I was able to leave that situation, so she needs a patient, understanding home that can help her continue to heal. Once she trusts you, she is wonderfully loving, expressive, and deeply loyal. She has so much love to give - she just needs someone gentle enough to receive it. ��%BD��%BD%90 Their Temperament & Needs: They are very bonded and must stay together. They need help with socialization around other dogs - life has been chaotic, and I haven't had the time they deserve to work on this. They thrive with routine, reassurance, and affection. A calm, patient home would be ideal, whether it's a temporary foster or a forever family. ��%BD��%BD%8F��%BD What I'm Looking For: Someone who will love them the way I do - someone kind, patient, and committed to giving them stability, safety, and affection. Rehoming them is one of the hardest things I've ever had to consider, but they deserve a home where they can thrive.
