About Marshall

Meet Marshall, a 10-pound chihuahua with the gentlest soul and a heart full of holiday magic. Estimated to be around 10 years old, he's had a hard life that makes him appear older than he is - but don't let that fool you. This little guy still has so much love to give and would love nothing more than a warm lap and a safe place to call home for the holidays. Found as a stray in Texas, Marshall came to us in heartbreaking condition. His nails had grown so long they curled into his paw pads, and he is likely completely blind due to advanced cataracts. He also has arthritis in his back and hind legs. Despite all he's been through, Marshall remains an incredibly sweet, trusting soul who just wants to feel safe, cozy, and loved - especially this time of year. Marshall will thrive with a patient adopter who can create a cozy, predictable setup - a comfy bed near his food and water so everything he needs is within easy reach, although he has certainly become more adventurous lately and has begun exploring. Marshall is a mellow little guy who enjoys quiet companionship and being close to his people. He's currently in a foster home with other senior pups and does wonderfully with them. Marshall is fully housetrained and will let you know when he needs to go out by softly crying or barking. Due to his mobility and vision challenges, he'll need someone who can gently carry him outside or up the stairs. Marshall's adoption fee is WAIVED thanks to two generous donors. He is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and just had a full dental.
