Considering rehoming our girl to the right home. 5 year old dutch shepherd Female, spayed. Good with other dogs. Best with no cats or small critters. Good with people and kids. Even typing this out makes me sad. :( We had a baby and we just feel like we aren't giving this girl the time and energy she deserves. She is a high maintenance dog. And a high energy breed. She will need someone who can play fetch with her, bike with her, or take her for walks. This will not be a dog to leave in the house for hours on end or crate for long periods. She does have anxiety with gun shots and some separation anxiety as well. My dream home for her would be someone who is home often, knows the breed, has patience, and will provide her an active home that meets her needs. A larger yard would be ideal. I am posting this on a dutch shepherd page as well because I might find some people on the page with some knowledge about her breed. She is literally the sweetest girl and just wants love and attention. We will be picky about rehoming and making sure we have the best home possible lined up for her. Kind words please. Because this is not an easy thing for us.
