AHFK is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue. Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia. All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit. Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption. All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We are currently accepting adoption applications for Anya. Anya will be 7 years of age on 12.02.2025, her DOB is 12.02.2018. Anya was welcomed into Almost Home Foster & Rescue as a breeder release. Her days of producing for financial gain are over. Her vetting care over the years has been minimal as she only has two remaining teeth in her mouth. However, she has a gusto of an appetite. Anya does very well with all other dogs. She is quiet and loves a lap to cuddle into. She is approximately 6-7#. She is working on potty training and is doing extremely well. Drastic changes in lifestyle and routine can upset the training process and we ask that a solid routine is established. Anya is looking for a home where one Pet Parent that is a stay-at-home parent, or one which works from home; a family that can help Anya acclimate to her new surroundings and environment with compassion, love, and patience. Please allow 6-8 weeks for Anya to acclimate to the changes in her life. Meet and greets are scheduled upon approved, completed application.
