Nandi is a beautiful, gentle and loving lady. She is devoted to her family and loves nothing more than being as close to them as possible. She enjoys, loves and gentle play but is happy for a simple pat on the head while sitting quietly next to you. She loves the sun and lazily sunning herself in her favourite spots in the garden. She always gets excited when the family comes home after being out. She is protective of her families space and will alert us of any potential visitors, however once consent has been given by her humans, she willing accepts guests into her environment. She is good with domestic helpers and children and will happily keep them company during the day. Nandi has had the luxary of living in nature reserve spaces with large gardens, while she walks well on lead, there have been times where walking isn't possible so she gets her exercise in the spacious fenced area. She has had a dog companion and shows respect towards other dogs. She is not familiar with cats and her ridgeback hunting instinct definitely kicks in when hadeda, guinea fowl or other game birds are close by. She knows snakes are dangerous, and will quickly alert the family of any unwanted guests. Nandi can cope well with thunderstorms and loud natural noises, but does not enjoy loud shouting and unexpected banging and clanging. We will be very sad to lose her, but have to relocate to a no dog area due to work circumstances and need to find her a new family.
