Juniper belongs in the country, we live in town and just can't keep up with her energy or stay on top of behavioral issues with my work schedule. Pros: Sweet and curious, Intelligent, Athletic, Loyal, Playful (especially loves rough wrestles with other dogs), Responsive to commands. Cons: Reactive on leash, Alpha dog, Herding instinct, Wary of strangers. I've seen her set up perimeters around homes, or at camp. She is very smart and responds well to stimulation and dedicated training. She has some awkward behaviors around other dogs, but could respond well if someone knew how to help train her. She does well without a fenced yard; she will wander to explore, but always comes home after. Could do ok with older kids, but tends to be scared of smaller, less predictable children. She's a very sweet girl, but our home is not what she needs. Looking for the perfect fit for her lifestyle and natural instincts.
