Courtesy Posting: X-URGENT - LAKEPORT, CA (N CAL, NORTH OF SONOMA/NAPA WINE COUNTRY)- Lake County Shelter CA ID #LCACA11374 (in Kennel 32) SHELTER ASKING FOR HELP- REMOTE RURAL SHELTER- 'SMOKEY' A HANDSOME, YOUNG BLUE CHOW, PEOPLE AND DOG FRIENDLY- NEEDS EXIT ASAP This sweet and handsome young man was found as a stray in early October and is estimated to be one 1 yr old He is currently 51 lbs. We have named him Smokey after the shelter reached out to us for help, given this is a remote shelter in a rural area, and he has not had any interest. The shelter told us 'He is very sweet with people and did very well meeting other dogs here at our shelter. He was on a stray hold with possible owner, and the owner never came in.' Behavior notes also state, 'K9 does well with all dogs. K9 is very well behaved with people' and these and a complete copy of both behavior and medical notes are available upon request. Smokey has not been tested with cats. He has no reported medical issues, tested negative for heartworm,, and would be neutered for an adopter. They also provided additional pictures and a video of him interacting nicely with another dog.
