About Hazel

Hazel is calm, loving and steady. She brings a peaceful feeling to any home. She loves people and children. She currently lives with Max, a 9 year old Standard Schnauzer and loves him dearly. Once she gets to know other dogs, she assimilates well and feels comfortable and develops a friendship. She doesn't do well on walks because can get triggered by other dogs when she is on the leash. She prefers to play in her backyard, take long snoozes, and watch the world go by with a view outside her front screen door. Her owner is an elderly man who lives alone and is now on hospice. Five years ago, he took in Hazel when her former owner died of cancer. He has loved Hazel dearly and is hoping to help her find her forever home now that he has a terminal illness.
