About Topanga

Meet Topanga !! ��|��%8F��|��%8FPlease read the entire post!!! She's adorable but she's not a lap dog and needs a very active home. ��|��%8F��|��%8F This girl is very loving and sweet. She's a very active, fun and high energy little girl. She is ready for an active family to entertain her. Topanga is a female, 2 year old, Brittany Spaniel. She weighs 21 pounds and is full grown. She will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She is Heartworm negative and on preventatives. Topanga is a whole lot of dog in a small package. She is a social and happy girl. She loves everyone. She's very outgoing and down for any adventure. She loves her people and wants to do everything with you. She does fairly very well with leash walking. She really likes to stop and sniff everything along the way. She isn't a big fan of car rides but does okay on them. She is crate trained. She has done really well with her potty training. Topanga does very well with other dogs. She loves to play and can be very active. She does well respecting the boundaries of other dogs. She would really love another high energy dog in the home to run with. She's not fostered with cats here but her previous owner told us she was fine with them. She adores kids and loves to follow them around. She's been very good with them so far. She does have a very high energy level and needs a place to run and play several times a day along with mental stimulation such as sniff walks, games, play, training etc. she does become very cuddly when she's tired but is not at all a 'lap dog'. She is on the go a lot and does a lot of moving around. She is busy with a lot of energy at times and likely will be lifelong. If you're not prepared for a constantly energetic girl then she's not the one for you. She definitely needs a fenced yard to run in. Topanga is a door dasher. She will bolt out a door or gate if given the opportunity. If both the adults and kids in the home can not manage proper door control please do not adopt her. You can use gates or crate her prior to opening doors etc. Please don't adopt her unless you truly can provide the right type of home for her. She doesn't need to be bounced around from home to home. Shes had no trouble sharing food, treats or toys with people or other dogs. She will occasionally snatch a snack off a table or counter if she can reach it. Topanga is smart and very loving. She has so much potential in the right home. If you can meet her needs you'll have a fun, loving and loyal companion. Vet and home checks required. Fenced yard required. Located in Hampton VA.
