About Woodrow

Woodrow came from a small shelter in TX where he was surrendered with his sister because owner could no longer care for them. His sister was adopted so he needed to find a way out too. At approximately 10-12 mos old, he is a sweet, shy, loving Australian Shepherd weighing 35#. Woodrow is potty trained, puts himself to bed in the crate, and sleeps through the night. Leash training is going well and he has a decent recall. Woodrow gets along with dogs of all sizes and would definitely benefit from having a dog pal, or he could also be an only child as long as he has proper exercise. He has not been tested with cats or kids, but due to his even temperament, he should do well with a dog savvy cat and a respectful child 8+. He is quite shy at first but once he warms up, he is a doll. He is very calm for such a youngster. Having a fenced in yard would be ideal for him, however an apartment situation may be considered with active herding breed experience and humans who are home during the day. He would also benefit from a basic manners class to learn, bond, and gain some confidence.
