About Reign

This is one of the hardest decisions we've ever had to make. Six years ago, we rescued our sweet girl and she's been an important part of our family. She is loyal, smart, and full of potential. But over time, especially since we've welcomed our daughter, she's developed increased anxiety and it has become clear that our home is no longer the right environment for her. We've tried everything we can - from implementing things we've learned from the professional training she has had in the past (she's completed board & train twice) to structured routines and separation. Unfortunately, keeping her separated from our daughter has only increased the anxiety in our home for everyone, including her. She's become withdrawn, has lost weight, and isn't eating well. It's heartbreaking to watch, but she's clearly not thriving here anymore. She has never shown aggression toward humans, but she's become unpredictable in her behavior - which, with a young child in the house, feels increasingly unsafe. We love her too much to let her continue struggling like this. ��Ӷ She would do best in a calm, adult-only home. ��Ӷ No small children or small animals. ��Ӷ Possibly okay with other large, male, non-alpha dogs. ��Ӷ She used to be incredibly obedient, leash-free in the yard, and loved doggy daycare. ��Ӷ With the right person and environment, we believe she could truly thrive again. She deserves someone who can give her the time, structure, and affection she needs - someone who can help her feel safe and secure again. 43lb 6 years old
