About Olive

Meet Olive Olive is a tiny little girl. She is a sweet and friendly little nugget. Olive is thought to be a chihuahua/Chinese crested mix. She is three-four years old, weighs seven lbs. and practically fits into the palm of your hand lol! Olive is adorable, with her earnest eyes and big ears. She has pretty markings. She has a little skip in her step and likes to explore. She walks well on a small leash but prefers to be held. She is friendly, sweet, affectionate, and curious. She will be a great traveling companion. She loves attention and will like to be where you are. She will be perfect for someone wanting a friend and companion. Olive likes other dogs but prefers a slow introduction. She does fine with cats and mostly ignores them. Olive is not house-trained, but we think she'd be easy to potty train or pad train. She tends to go in the outside of her kennel or immediately when taken for a walk. If looking for an easy-to- love pint-sized pup who needs a second chance, Olive is a dream. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
