About ACE

ACE is a 4 year old, 6.8 pound Maltese. He is a super sweet happy little dog who loves people. He warms up quickly and enjoys attention, belly rubs, and being close to his humans. He isn't a big kisser, but he happily soaks up all the affection you offer. ACE is great with other dogs. He runs and plays with his foster siblings, shares space and enjoys their company. He could be an only dog, but would do better with another small dog to follow and learn from. He has been around cats and was curious but did not act aggressively towards them. We do not know how he would be with kids. ACE is working on housebreaking and uses a doggie door to go outside, but still has occasional accidents. He's also learning leash skills. He freezes at first, but he made great progress on a recent outing. Because leash walking is still new to him, a fenced-in yard is recommended. ACE plays with toys and rides well in the car. When it comes to sleeping arrangements, he's flexible. He prefers to sleep in bed with his foster family, but will sleep peacefully in a dog bed, too. He is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola).
