Meet Gus, a 7 1/2 year old 165 pound fixed Brazilian Mastiff. We rescued him not knowing anything about him as he was found wondering around. Gus is house broken and walks well on a leash. He understands some commands as we have been working on them with him. Unfortunately after months with us we are realizing that our home is not the right fit for him. He truly is what they call a gentle giant. He is very loving with adults and children. He loves being around kids and is so gentle. He is also starting to get our other dog, a 1yr old yorkie. Gus doesn't mind my daughter's cat either. The only time he has growled was when they went by him while in his crate. I have since learned that could be just a mastiff trait. He also needs someone that is home more so he isn't in his crate all day. My husband usually works from home, but has been traveling more forcing me to crate him more than I would like. We need to find him a forever home. We don't want to take him back to the shelter. He is an old man and deserves to live out his days free and with more space to roam not in a crate until I can get home from work. Please message me with any questions or if you are interested in becoming his forever home We are located off Clark Road by 75.
