About Baxter

Meet Baxter. Baxter is an almost 6-year-old mixed breed rescue dog with a happy and energetic personality. Baxter has lots of energy and loves being outside and going for walks. He is always happy to greet people- his whole-body wiggles with excitement. Baxter loves to play wrestle with bones or tug of war with ropes. He will fetch- but would much prefer to be chased around the yard than return the ball. Baxter likes some attention but also prefers his own space and likes to hang on his bed while his owners watch tv. Baxter has been e-collar trained and could do well off leash. Baxter has a trainer who will help facilitate the transition to a new home. He walks well and will heel on command- he is not leash reactive. Baxter is up to date on his shots, neutered, and fully potty trained. Baxter has lived with cats since he was a young puppy. He has never lived with another dog- although depending on personalities he could do well with another dog. Baxter has lived with the same family since being rescued as a 10-week-old puppy- he is being re-homed due to incompatibly with small children.
