Bookie is a Husky, 55 pounds, 4 1/2 years old. He was brought to a TX shelter when his family didn't want him anymore. He grew up his whole life with his sister. When I first met him I have never seen a dog so depressed. He was over everything. He didn't move. He didn't eat. I'd ask him how he was doing and he would answer in a low sad voice. After getting him out of the shelter it's been amazing to see his personality come out. He's happy and full of life. He loves playing and being outside. When he's not playing he's actually, very laid-back. He really enjoys his toys and treats and training. He is the coolest husky I have ever gotten to know. He does talk, but it's in a very low voice and it's only a handful of times in the day. It feels like a pleasure to hear him talk to you. He rarely ever barks. He's beyond sweet and loves snuggling with you on the couch or at night. He gets along great with all dogs. He is the dog everyone wants to play with at the dog park. I've done a lot of socializing with him and he is always very appropriate. He's a very secure and confident dog. Not only does he love dogs, but he loves every person he's ever met. Kids older adults it doesn't matter. He has personality for days, which is so fun to have in a dog. One of the best feelings I have in the day is coming home and being greeted by him. Also fun fact, he loves goats. If he could hang out with goats all day, he'd be in paradise.
