About Aries

Aries is a great dog, but he needs a little extra care that his current home doesn't have the ability to provide. He came to us anxious with a particular anxiety whenever he interacted with women. He lets anyone walk him, pet him, play with him, but when it comes to his crate he is very specific with who he lets put him up for the night. He will growl and nip at women if they attempt to put him away. Anyone else, men and kids included, can do it without problem. I've even stuck my hands and head into his crate to rub him and he's been great. Sometimes, however, he will bare his teeth when he's being put away at all of us in the family. He can be redirected, but after years of training we haven't been able to help him learn to accept help and care from my wife. He is an intelligent dog with a big heart. I want to continue to give him the care he needs, but as he gets older, he also frequently has begun getting ear infections to go along with his allergies. We are looking for a loving home that has the time and patience to give him the attention and care he deserves. He has NEVER bitten any of us and has NEVER been aggressive to either of our kids. His vaccinations are up to date, he is neutered, and can follow basic commands with ease. He is standoffish with dogs and cats but doesn't get aggressive with them unless any of them get into his face. He will get aggressive and play too hard if he's met with an excited pet.
