URGENT!!! SPECIAL CASE! AT RISK FOR SURRENDER/EUTHANIZATION!!! COLUMBUS, OHIO . (UNABLE to drive, but will try to make arrangements ). 5 Y/O FEMALE GSD, AKC PAPERS BUT NOT REGISTERED (DOB: 11/13/21). Her name is ' KALYANI'. Background: has been with the same Shepherd Parent since weaned (from a breeder) . NOT UTD on shots WITH record. NOT Fixed. NOT Good with kids, very nervous. Good with dogs, but very nervous until warms up. UNKNOWN with cats. House trained. Crate trained, very nervous, will tear items up in crate. Needs distraction: NylaBone with peanut butter, etc. Any known medical issues?: Severe Anxiety+ Sensitive Stomach. ENERGY LEVEL: AVERAGE. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: UNKNOWN. Weighs 100 lbs. Currently on NATURAL BALANCE VEGETARIAN+ PB SNACKS, CARROTS, CHEESE food. Good with car rides?: NO, HIGH ANXIETY. Socialized with: *other dogs: NO. *people?: NO. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): NO, VERY SCARED, NERVOUS AND PROTECTIVE OF CSP. Loves: Peanut Butter is her absolute favorite!- Cheerios - carrots - cheese - nyla chew toys - chew toys - Kongs- stuffies - Rope toys - balls - fetch - sleeping in bed with her person - being near her person - stealing socks and undies - pup cups - watching TV - listening to relaxing music - being sung to - dancing with you to music - the parks when not crowded - flowers- cuddles - kisses - 'Love-loves' (kisses/cuddles) - chilling on the couch. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?:YES . *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): NO. *Good on a Leash?: YES. *Lovable?:VERY . *Eager and fast learner?: VERY. Bite History?: NO. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: Very loving, quick to learn, funny, good Guardian dog. Has to get 'love loves' before bed and anytime before going in crate, or she will be very sad and anxious . Re Homing because�'�|: the Current Shepherd Parent has serious health issues and is rapidly getting worse and can no longer give Kalyani the life that she needs. Kalyani needs to be active, to play, walk, run and thrive, and she is just not able to provide that for her anymore. This is a heartbreaking situation. The Current Shepherd Parent's ex would abuse her and Kalyani, and because of this abuse, Kalyani has severe Anxiety and PTSD (Abuse Trauma) from the abuse. She is extremely protective of her Current Shepherd Parent because of this. The Current Shepherd Parent said that Kalyani never got to truly be a puppy because of the abuse, she was constantly living in fear and trying to keep her Current Shepherd Parent safe and never got to enjoy just being a puppy. Always on guard from abuse and trying to protect her person from abuse is a horrible life and as a result, Kalyani is full of Anxiety and fear. In NO WAY should this sweet adorable girl be surrendered to a shelter and/or euthanized because of the life that she was dealt. All she was trying to do was survive and protect her Current Shepherd Parent. Abuse is a horrible, horrible thing that really messes with your nervous system�'�| she just needs someone that can work with her and allow her a stable and safe life so that she can thrive and relax.��%A4%8D Will thrive best�'�|?: with a firm, confident, but kind and loving person who will be able to work with Kalyani through her Severe Anxiety and PTSD/Abuse Trauma. She needs a stable home and routine . Preferably not a lot of visitors coming and going . A Homebody would be perfect for Kalyani. Someone who is home a lot and will have plenty of time to be there with and for Kalyani. Because of her anxiety, the CSP is requesting that Kalyani go in a home with NO kids, NO cats and NO small dogs. Kalyani needs a confident Mother-type Person so that she can relax. Comes with: collar, harness, muzzle, leash, crate, toys, playlist of her favorite music, treats, bed, bowls, AKC papers.
