About ROSCOE

Adoption Fee: $400
Schnauzer mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

NEW MEXICO ADOPTERS ONLY Age: 6 years Weight: 19 lbs. Location: ABQ, NM This adorable long-bodied, short-legged boy wants to be your personal Velcro dog. He'll follow you around the house, curl up in your lap, and lie quietly in his donut bed like a good boy while you work. A case of heartworm disease had Roscoe and his buddy Dozer in dire straits at a high-kill shelter. Since his rescue, he has completed treatment and will soon be able to put that scary episode in the rearview mirror for good. A bit shy and nervous at first meeting, he warms up quickly when affection is offered, especially if it comes with treats. He doesn't even mind wearing a sweater. Roscoe is current on vaccinations and parasite preventatives. He sleeps in a crate at night, is good on leash and enjoys car rides. While his behavior with children is unknown, we think he'd do fine with respectful older kids. Roscoe is sponsored by Arizona Schnauzer Rescue, Inc., and is living with a foster family in Albuquerque. He's being offered to New Mexico adopters only, since he still needs a dental cleaning (which will be fully paid for by ASR) at a NM clinic. If you are interested, fill out an adoption application at www.azschnauzer.org, mentioning Roscoe by name in the comments section. You may also contact Connie at 575-652-3313 for more information. The adoption fee of $400 helps to offset the cost of lifesaving medical treatment for Roscoe and other dogs in ASR's care.
