About Mixon

The mailman found him abandoned in the woods 2 years ago and we took him in. We raised him with another male (bernadoodle) puppy that came to us at the same time. He loves his humans, belly rubs, and tends to be calm and sweet with our kids. He is kind of handsy/pawsy sometimes and will try to hug (which is not ideal for small children). He was great with our other dog for 2 years and then he started growling and they got into fights. We've spent the past 9 months helping them find peace, although he still growls, they take daily walks together with no issue. Other than that, however they stay pretty separate. He's a super sweet and chill guy most of the time and may do well with an older/possibly female/calm dog, but we haven't tested it so not sure. He's very obedient: he comes when called (even on a large property with lots of distractions), sits, goes straight to his kennel when he enters our home, and walks well on a leash.
