Abe needs foster or an adopter by 12/6 to catch a ride to Wisconsin! Abe is currently in the Arkansas shelter system and must have a foster or adopter lined up by Saturday, December 6th to secure his spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a home commitment, he won't be able to make the trip. Meet Abe Abe is a handsome 7-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who deserves a second chance at the life he once knew. At about 45 pounds, this sweet, gentle boy has so much love to give - he's just waiting for the right people to give him the time and care he's been missing. Abe's family is surrendering him to the Arkansas shelter because they no longer have time for him. He spends most of his days living in a crate due to his families busy schedule and working full time. He rarely gets to run and play or enjoy being a dog. It's heartbreaking, because Abe used to be an inside companion who watched TV with his people - his favorite movie was The Lion King. When the family had their first child, Abe was moved outside, and his world became much smaller. Despite everything, Abe's spirit remains gentle and loyal. He's great with other dogs, has been fine around cats, and is good with kids. He's up to date on vetting, neutered, and ready to find a family that can give him the active, loving lifestyle he truly deserves.
