Gertie needs someone who can embrace her High Energy and allow her to thrive, and not be suppressed to fit a lifestyle that is not meant for her. The Current Shepard Parent is just not able to give Gertie the life that she needs to thrive. They are also about to have a baby and just cannot give Gertie the time that she needs.
