Lionel Needs a Foster or Adopter by 12/6 to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin Lionel is currently in foster care in Arkansas and must have a foster or adopter lined up by Saturday, December 6th to secure his spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a home commitment, he won't be able to make the trip. Meet Lionel Lionel is a stunning German Shepherd mix with a story of survival and resilience. Estimated to be 4-5 years old and weighing around 80 pounds, Lionel's journey has been far from easy. He was found as a stray and brought to the Arkansas kill shelter in terrible condition - severely underweight, malnourished, suffering from mange, and heartworm positive. He was scheduled for euthanasia, but thanks to a timely rescue, his life was spared in the nick of time. Since August 1st, Lionel has been in a foster home completing his heartworm treatment. He's finished his treatment and ready to start his new life in Wisconsin. This handsome boy has made an incredible transformation and is now strong, healthy, and beautiful, with a kind heart to match his appearance. Lionel is crate trained, house trained, and knows commands like 'sit.' He is good with other dogs and is working on leash manners. With consistent love, training, and structure, Lionel will thrive as a loyal and devoted companion. He will be available for foster or adoption on Saturday, December 6th in Cedarburg, WI when he arrives with Mutt Life Dog Rescue.
