About Baby

Baby is a very sweet and affectionate young coonhound with a gentle personality. She has had basic training and is eager to learn more. She does exceptionally well with children and other dogs. Because she is a hunting-bred hound, she is not suitable for a home with cats. Baby is in need of a new home due to unexpected changes in her current living situation. The home she is staying in no longer has utilities, and she is not able to receive the full-time care, exercise, or attention she needs. She is being checked on daily for food and water, but the situation is not appropriate for long-term care. She recently received treatment for worms and is steadily gaining weight. Baby has not been mistreated; she is simply in a situation where her needs can no longer be fully met. Baby would thrive in a home familiar with hounds or with someone who can provide structure, exercise, and continued training. She would do well with an active family or a home with another friendly dog.
