We adopted this gentle giant (Anatolian Shepherd and Hound mix - specifics unknown) several years ago, just before he turned 2 (the photo is from around that time). Unfortunately, there have been multiple issues with aggression toward our older dog (a yellow lab), which we have tried to work through with a trainer and while things initially appeared to improve the issues have begun again. He has only ever had issues with our lab or dogs that are initially aggressive, otherwise he did great at dog parks, even playing gently with much smaller dogs. In fact, he and our younger dog will run and play in the yard and there has never been an issue. This sweet boy just wants to cuddle, get his belly rubbed, and his butt scratched. He will chase a ball or other toys, but tends to lose interest fairly quickly. We're running out of options as we cannot keep getting between him and the lab, or keep them separate at all times. He needs a home where he can either be an only dog, or with younger more submissive dogs that he won't feel a need to challenge for top dog. Following the most recent aggression we are having to do a 10-day quarantine per Animal Control orders, so he will not be available for adoption until after this period.
