Charlie is a handsome, fun, affectionate and loving, four-year-old, 40-pound, male grey and white Aussie-Doodle looking for a loving guardian. He is a high-energy dog who is good on leashed walks with no reactivity to people or other dogs. In fact, he's excellent with other friendly dogs, and loves his people. Sadly, he was relinquished to Friends of Petraits Rescue when his people divorced. Charlie rides well in the car, is crate and house-trained. While he doesn't 'need' a crate, occasionally he'll go in all by himself to relax. He loves toys and tennis balls. He's looking for a family that will love him, keep him exercised and entertained and continue his training. Charlie is very healthy, recently neutered, and up to date on rabies, distemper, bordatella and leptospirosis vaccines. He is microchipped, fecal and heartworm tested negative, and on monthly preventative. His adoption fee of $650 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue. Charlie has been professionally groomed and will need to be groomed every six weeks to stay healthy and clean. He came into rescue after not having been groomed for years and he had ingrown hairs that had bizarrely developed into tumors! Those were removed, biopsied and luckily benign! If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Charlie, please fill in an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up by contacting [email protected] to make an appointment to meet him. He is being fostered in Chicago.
