Louie arrived to the shelter on 11/6/25 after his owner sadly passed away & their only remaining family member needing to move out of state unable to continue care for Louie. Louie is the definition of an older dog that is young at heart, he was very well cared for & loved with the positive energy you'd find in a dog half his age. After Louie lost his dad & best friend requiring him to enter the shelter, he is having a very difficult time coping with the loss of his family being left all alone in a kennel for long periods of time. Louie is not only in amazing shape for a dog of his age, he is very house-broken, knows all you basic commands, very dog friendly, and (of course) absolutely loves spending time with people. HI!
