About Ginger

Last call for Ginger... due to aggression issues, she will be euthanized if an experienced home isn't found soon. Ginger is a purebred Lhasa Apso that just turned 10 yrs old in February. She was severely neglected after her owner passed away 2 years ago. She was matted so bad that she couldn't see and she had to be shaved under anesthesia. She is severely overweight at 30 lbs. She is very nervous and sensitive to being touched. I have to use bite gloves to put a collar or harness on her. For some reason, she is completely terrified of a collar & harness. She is an independent girl that typically stays to herself but likes to lay by your feet. She has been fine living with other dogs that give her space. NO CHILDREN, NO EXCEPTION. She needs an experienced person that understands giving her space and letting her decompress. Once she trusts you, she will happily accept treats & being petted. She has trouble with steps and will need easy access to go outside. Due to having several steps for her to go out, she rarely goes outside. She has given up trying & will just use potty pads inside. She is fully vetted and recently had a dental visit. If you are a patient person that understands that it takes time to work with a nervous dog, then Ginger needs you! Owning bite gloves is required to put a collar/harness on her when needed. Ginger is being fostered in Harford county Maryland. Contact us for more information.
