About Ava

Meet Ava! Ava is a stunning 2-year-old French Bulldog, weighing in at just 19 pounds of pure sweetness. She's super affectionate with her people and has been an absolute angel in her foster home - very quiet (she's only barked a few times) and happy to just be near her humans. Ava can be a little timid at first, especially with new people or men (her previous owner didn't have many male visitors), but she warms up quickly - especially if you sit on the floor and let her come to you. Ava is wonderful with kids, especially those who are calm and dog-savvy. She enjoys companionship and attention. She thrives with gentle direction and a consistent routine. She's done great with people handling her food and water, showing no signs of resource guarding toward humans. However, she can be food and toy possessive with other dogs, so she'd do best as an only dog or with an adopter confident in managing typical Frenchie behavior. She's easily redirected and responds well to calm correction and structure.
