I am looking to rehome my dog, Jelly Bean. She is very sweet, but life downtown is stressful for her, especially as our yard isn't fenced. We would like to rehome her to a home in a quieter area, fenced yard is non-negotiable. She is a ~60 lb Lab mix with lots and lots of energy. Her vet said she will be 70 lbs when she is done growing. She is crate trained and completely potty trained. She also knows basic commands and is a whizz at fetch! She has limited experience with children, but has done well with those she does know. However, we would recommend her go to a home with no children under five years old because of her size and energy. She would do well with another large-breed dog as she loves to play, but introductions must be done slowly and carefully beforehand due to her anxiety. Jelly Bean would do best in a home with a fenced back yard and someone who could throw a ball for her for hours. She is very smart and loves people, but undersocialized and needs a quieter environment. I would not recommend taking her to a dog park or anywhere off leash or crowded, but she would love to accompany you to the lake on a day that's not too busy! If you throw sticks into the water for her, she will fetch them for hours. We think she could be a great dog for a family with older children. She is also a huge cuddlebug once she's worn out. She would love to curl up on the bed or couch with you and rest her head on your knee. To ensure she goes to a good home, we will require her adopter to meet us and her at least twice before taking her home, and ideally schedule a home-visit so we can ensure her environment will be a good fit. If you have a dog already, we will require them to be introduced beforehand as well. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Please message me if you are interested. Adoption fee is $100 which we will donate to the Humane Society on your behalf (and we will provide proof). We only charge a fee because we want to ensure she goes to a good home. If you and Jelly Bean are a good match, we will send you home with her crate, bedding, and a basket full of toys and enrichment items to make her adjustment easier. Our #1 priority is that Jelly Bean goes to a good home and does not wind up back in the shelter We are located in Somerset, KY
