My six years old Great Pyrenees dog, Leo, needs a new forever home. I have had him for over 5 years, adopted him for an SPCA at 9 months. He's been a great dog and companion to me. Recently though, with our move to the city, smaller living space and overstimulating sounds of the city, he's had some behavioral issues and been aggressive towards my live-in partner. We are planning on starting a family soon and feel that Leo is too triggered to remain with us. Leo is a big dog, 120 lbs and strong. His new owner should have some experience with his breed given their unique personality traits. His new forever home should have a fenced-in yard. He would thrive in a large outdoor, secured space in a quiet area. He generally gets along with other dogs. Given his recent change in behavior, I wouldn't recommend Leo to be around children or the elderly, although he has mellowed out substantially since getting on doggie prozac. Leo is a sweet, adorable, protective dog. He needs a thoughtful owner that will make the time to understand him, if nothing else, someone that get him in the physical environment that a dog of his breed needs. $50 rehoming fee. Leo is up to date on his shots and fixed. I will accommodate driving long distance for serious inquiries.
