It's concerningly ironic how many senior dogs have entered the shelter since the start of November which is #AdoptASeniorPetMonth :| The shelter is the last place an elderly dog should be & it almost feels like people are taking this month as an opportunity to let their senior pets go, much like the case with Stevie :( Stevie is an incredibly sweet & laid-back 10-12 year old female senior Cattle Dog German Shepherd mix that was picked up by Animal Control Officers at the start of the month abandoned & alone near Alamitos Beach in #LongBeach Sadly, no one has come to claim her or even ask about her... and with so many younger dogs coming in at a fraction of her age she stands little chance of finding her way out of the shelter through adoption & needs our help to find her rescue or a home. In November, consider making a home for an older furry pet during Adopt a Senior Pet Month. HI!
