Dexter came into rescue from a very noisy and scary dog shelter. He was an owner surrender when they could no longer care for him. Dexter was extremely stressed and scared at the shelter. He was very unfriendly and kept to himself. Since coming into rescue, his true personality has shined through. We don't think he ever really got out of the house with his previous owner. Now, he adores sleeping in his foster mom's bed, barking at the deer in the yard, and getting pup cups! He has also learned to play with toys! Dexter is not a fan of riding in the car, but he did great when he got his vet checkup. He did wonderfully when a friend visited his foster home. He was very excited at first but calmed down when she spoke softly to him. Dexter is looking for his fur-ever family. His foster mom can't say enough good things about him. She is overwhelmed at how sweet and well behaved he is!! Dexter is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is being fostered in Mt Vernon, OH and is available for an adoption fee of $350.00.
