About Mila

The Marvelous Miss Mila! Miracles do happen. Milagro (Miracle) affectionately known as 'Mila' is an approximately 50 pound, 8 month old amazing Border Collie/Great Pyrenees mix (best guess). Mila loves time and snuggles with her Favorite Person. Miracle Making Mila came at a few weeks old to ASA from another rescue-she had multiple health issues. Mila couldn't walk (likely swimmers syndrome that affected use of her back legs), had parasites, is blind and deaf in one ear. Fortunately, Mila was taken in by a Masterclass Foster Mom! Thanks to Foster Mom's experience, unwavering commitment and belief in Milagro, this girl is ready for her Forever Home. Miss Mila is quite a phenom. The pup tracks Foster Mom by following her voice. Mila bounces as she moves, and uses the bounces to count/form a mental map of her environment. She uses her super sniffer to scent out whatever she wants. Mila never gives up. Mila's Foster Home Our indomitable girl is a happy puppy who loves to be active with her Person or romping with the resident canine buddies. Mila enjoys car rides and cuddles up with her Person. The pup is content in her crate for sleepiest and when the family is away during the day. When Mila occasionally becomes a little frustrated or overwhelmed reassurances from her Person are all she needs. Mila's Forever Home Miss Marvel's Forevers enjoy doing life with their pup. Mila is active and being engaged. Her Person will help her continue to be secure and confident by interacting with her in training and play-sound and scent based toys and activities and find me games, for example. Someone who just wants an amazing, loving pupsonality will love Mila. An active single person or couple would be ideal who have had a special needs dog or are interested on learning a little would be ideal. A dog buddy would be great for play and companionship. Kiddos 10 and up who understand dog language/boundaries and would enjoy giving a special pup a special life.
