��%90%BEMeet Rooster - the sweetest Red Heeler looking for his forever home!��%90%BE This handsome boy is around 5-6 years old and has the biggest heart. Rooster is extremely loyal, loving, and a total 'velcro dog.' He loves being close to his people and will happily follow you everywhere. He's very smart, knows several commands, listens well, and can read emotions, he even knows when he's in trouble before you say a word! Rooster is good with other dogs and lives peacefully with our cat, though he does like to chase unfamiliar cats and squirrels. With time and patience, he may warm up to a new feline friend as well. He does best with older children who understand how to respect a dog's space and energy level. He's very smart when playing, often putting a toy in his mouth to keep himself from being mouthy or accidentally nipping but like any dog, if he gets overly excited or agitated, it's best to keep an eye on him and help him settle calmly. He really needs a home with a yard and space to play, since we live in a small apartment. He sheds quite a bit and needs regular grooming, but he's worth every bit of the extra care. We love him deeply and are only rehoming due to financial hardship and family challenges, including caring for my mom, who's experiencing memory issues. ���� If we can't find someone soon, we may have to take him to the shelter, something we desperately want to avoid.
