Meet Granny Smith, the mama of our Apple Litter! This beautiful one-year-old dilute calico has worked so hard to keep her kittens safe, and now it's finally her turn to find a home where she can feel secure and loved. Granny Smith and her babies - Fuji, Gala, and McIntosh - were found as strays in Danbury, and while her kittens have blossomed in foster, she is still learning to trust humans. Granny Smith is an incredibly shy and timid girl who spends most of her time tucked away in a safe hiding spot. She is comfortable around other cats and would do best in a calm, quiet home. While she hasn't yet learned that pets and affection can feel good, she has made small, steady progress with patience and gentle reassurance. She will need an experienced adopter who understands feral or semi-feral cats - someone willing to offer the time, space, and compassion she deserves. She may never be a lap cat, but she does deserve a chance at a safe, loving home where she can just be herself. If you have a heart for the underdog, or in this case, the undercat, Granny Smith is hoping you'll see the beauty in her quiet spirit and give her the peaceful furever home she's been waiting for. Granny Smith's adoption fee is $200 and she is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, and will be microchipped and spayed soon.
