Dorothy Needs a Foster or Adopter by 11/15 to Secure Her Ride to Wisconsin! Dorothy is currently in Georgia and must have a foster or adopter lined up by Saturday, November 15th to secure her spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a home commitment, she won't be able to make the trip! Meet Dorothy Dorothy's life so far hasn't been an easy one. She's been shuffled from place to place, through no fault of her own - from one shelter, to being picked up in a Walmart parking lot, to living outside at her current home because it's 'not a good time' for the young couple who took her in. Now, she's being surrendered along with another dog named Bella. While it's not confirmed if they are related, both girls are hoping for a fresh start and a safe, loving home. Through it all, Dorothy has remained a super sweet, gentle, and easygoing girl. At around 1.5-2 years old and weighing just 19 pounds, this spayed female mixed breed (possibly Chihuahua mix) is friendly, affectionate, and grateful for any kindness shown her way. Dorothy is dog friendly, cat friendly, and kid friendly, making her a wonderful fit for nearly any family. She loves companionship, settles in easily, and would be thrilled to finally have a safe, warm place to call home. She received her vaccinations on 10/31 and tested heartworm negative. She's healthy, social, and ready to head north - all she needs now is a foster or adopter to help her make the trip.
